We’ll also give you a sneak peek at what’s under the hood so you can understand why it’s really on our list. With these, you should be well on your way to making your dream setup reality. If you’re inexperienced with PC building, you might want to make sure you want to familiarize yourself with how to build a gaming PC before looking over the best gaming setups of 2019.
We can pretty much imagine that every gamer’s dream is to have a powerful computer to play all current games at maximum settings. Because of this, many people choose to make their own setups and include only the best parts available on the market. But besides the functional part, there is also an esthetic one meaning that there is more to a fine PC setup than just a strong graphics card and a wide monitor. There are some gaming setups that are so impressive that they deserve global recognition and this is why, in today’s video, we are going to unveil some of the most elaborate PC setups. The emphasis is put on the originality of the projects presented rather than the state of the art system specifications.

For another entry in the "made to be seen" column for this build, we went for two 4GB sticks of GeIL Super Luce RGB Sync DDR4 memory. For years, RAM had been a relatively low-cost part of PC builds, but RAM prices have spiked in 2018 and have yet to come back down. That said, $79 for 8GB is a pretty good deal, and the RGB strips add yet more pizzazz to proceedings.

Whether you're looking for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch consoles and games or you're a PC gamer, the Amazon.co.uk Video Games store has everything you need, all at everyday low prices. From the current-generations to the classic Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii, handheld gaming with Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita and even PSP we have a huge selection for you.
The PC is admittedly more expensive up front, but your upgrade path later is markedly easier. If you’re a budget gamer, you can probably run the same processor for up to six years, and the same graphics card for four to five years. Case? RAM? Power supply? Fans? Hard drives? All surprisingly cheap stuff you’ll carry in perpetuity, build to build, replacing only when absolutely necessary.
Unlike consoles, which can restrict the way you play, PC users benefit from a wide variety of controllers and mice to choose from. Gamers looking to kick back and relax can enjoy the freedom of wireless controllers, joysticks and even a steering wheel for racing games, like most consoles. However, when precision is key, PC users can utilize a gaming mouse. Gaming mice are particularly accurate, allowing you unrivalled control and accuracy during first-person shooter games. These are often favored by professional gamers, who can’t afford to have anything less than perfect accuracy.
Another burden you can avoid by opting for a console is hardware specifications. There are thousands of options you will have to go through to find the right PC to suits your needs. You have to ensure the mouse is comfortable and the graphics card can handle the games you want to play, and check how high is the display refresh rate, and more besides. The PC is the way to go for true gaming (sorry console gamers). They have been ahead of consoles for a long time. Their performance is unparalleled compared to any other gaming machine and is constantly getting better. To get the latest and greatest in a PC will set you back a lot of money. But you don't need to have the best to play the best. The beauty about PC gaming is the variability of it. You can get a very decent gaming PC built for around $800. If you just want a PC to do as good as a console, you can make it for less than a console. PC's price point and power makes it a must for all gamers and their gaming setup. We made a great guide on what to consider when buying or building your own PC.

With gaming laptops, you’re also able to customize what features and specifications are important to you and line it up with a preferred price-point. You can choose a specific screen size (we like 15″ and up), processors (grab a 3.0 Ghz or higher), video card (again, the NVIDIA GTX series is top-of-the-line right now), and a hard drive capacity to your liking (stick with at least 500GB and with some portion of it to be a solid-state drive, please). The HP Omen is a top laptop pick recommended by not only use but those online gaming mags as well — for a reason.
When it comes to which gear for your own gaming experience and skills should be upgraded, it will ultimately come down to personal preference. We know a few of our friends who are just about professional gamers (big Fortnite people) who prefer an old mechanical keyboard and beat up mouse pad; however, when it comes to their mouse, headset and overall PC rig, they’re constantly on the prowl for the latest upgrades. Others we’ve spoken to can get by with just about any gaming gear as long as it works, while some others we know are consistently trying to get that edge over their opponents in any way possible.

Note that with a Linux-based OS, you’ll need to install proprietary drivers manually, which can be a little tricky and will likely require some Google research. This option takes some extra leg work, because the drivers that Linux distributions usually ship with aren’t suited for playing games. That said, this is the cheapest way to get a broadly useful and reliable desktop-style operating system.
When it comes to online gaming, PCs give people a variety of ways to connect to the internet and to one another that aren't restricted to proprietary services or software. Different brands of computers and operating systems usually communicate well with one another. This is different from services like Xbox Live, for example, which is the only option available to Xbox users who want to play online and is closed to everyone who doesn't have an Xbox.
Nintendo has been releasing consoles side by side with the big companies. The Wii came out just over a year after the Xbox 360 and brought a new idea to gaming, motion gaming. Wii U moved towards a handheld experience, allowing gamers to play their games from anywhere in the household using the gamepad. Nintendo's Switch was the most recent release, a powerful fully portable console that is able to be taken and used anywhere. As Nintendo has grown we have seen a shift to more remote gaming. While the Switch is able to be hooked up to a TV, most people still consider it more of a handheld console. This is one of the reasons why Nintendo usually isn't included in the console war. The other reason is the power in their consoles. The graphics and capabilities of Nintendo's consoles has never been able to rival the Xbox and the PlayStation. The Nintendo Switch is becoming a competitor though. With great titles like Zelda Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, the Switch is being considered more of a must have in any gaming setup.
After a trip to PC world, my nephew (who knows a lot more about computers than me) explained a few things to me and I was very surprised to see how much better this PC is compared to what the likes of PC world were offering. Almost double the power, more storage space, double the memory, for almost £150 less!!! You don't get the monitor like the PC World one but after checking online the screen they were offering with theirs cost only £60 on Amazon, so I could buy it separately and still save money!!!

After we connected the cables for the case lighting, fans, and components, we tucked everything away as best we could. From a functionality standpoint, everything looked ready to go, and aesthetically, we managed the cables as much as possible without taking too much time. We were confident, but you're never really sure it will boot up that first time. After screwing the glass sides back in place (the rear panel quietly hiding our cabling sins), we connected our PC to a display and hit the power button.
