After a trip to PC world, my nephew (who knows a lot more about computers than me) explained a few things to me and I was very surprised to see how much better this PC is compared to what the likes of PC world were offering. Almost double the power, more storage space, double the memory, for almost £150 less!!! You don't get the monitor like the PC World one but after checking online the screen they were offering with theirs cost only £60 on Amazon, so I could buy it separately and still save money!!!

With everything else selected, we were able to get a sense of how much power we'd need to run the system. The GPU and CPU are the main power drains, and given the components we selected, the 650W Corsair VS Series VS650 is strong enough for the job. 450 to 500 watts is enough for a GTX 1070 and the relevant components, so the VS650 even leaves some headroom to be safe. It's not one of the fancier options—it's non-modular, without the higher-end gold or platinum certification—but in a build that doesn't require excessive power and is trying to stay under a price limit, it should be a fine fit.

In many ways, the case you choose sets the tone for the whole build. It's obviously the most visual piece of the puzzle, so its aesthetic determines the theme and color scheme. Because of the need for some camera-friendly flash, we went with the Lian Li Alpha 550W chassis. This midsize tower was a big factor in deciding to go with a black-and-white theme for the rest of the parts—a clean, modern style.

Wow, developers care more about mobile then you, also in your eyes we might be demanding, but if your referring to us wanting to play our games how we want to and not let any company screw us over then I guess we are demanding. I noticed that after I switched from Xbox to pc I had more fun gaming, the people were nicer generally and people are more willing to help new players.

First, there are the “mainstream” consoles and those are Sony’s PlayStation and Microsoft’s Xbox. They are generally the most popular and have the largest selection of games to choose from. This also includes the PlayStation Vita which was initially released as a standalone handheld console but was eventually changed into something of a companion to the PS4.
In the battle of console vs. PC, many gamers are starting to migrate away from consoles to gaming laptops and desktops. The reasons for this are many. The side that people chose in the PC vs. console gaming debate used to be dictated in part by the game titles that most interested them. In the market's infancy, many titles were exclusively offered on one platform or the other – not both.
Nintendo has been releasing consoles side by side with the big companies. The Wii came out just over a year after the Xbox 360 and brought a new idea to gaming, motion gaming. Wii U moved towards a handheld experience, allowing gamers to play their games from anywhere in the household using the gamepad. Nintendo's Switch was the most recent release, a powerful fully portable console that is able to be taken and used anywhere. As Nintendo has grown we have seen a shift to more remote gaming. While the Switch is able to be hooked up to a TV, most people still consider it more of a handheld console. This is one of the reasons why Nintendo usually isn't included in the console war. The other reason is the power in their consoles. The graphics and capabilities of Nintendo's consoles has never been able to rival the Xbox and the PlayStation. The Nintendo Switch is becoming a competitor though. With great titles like Zelda Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, the Switch is being considered more of a must have in any gaming setup.
After spending a chunk of money on the screen you want to be sure you get the most out of it. You don’t want to position your seats too close to it or too far from it. There is actually science behind how far the seats should be from the screen. It mostly depends on the size of the screen. If you go with a screen that is 60” or more you need to have your seats at least 10’-11’ away from the screen. For every 5 inches you add to the screen, you can start your seat 6 inches further away. This will ensure you have the best view of the screen.
The Gammaxx cooler wasn't our only unnecessary RGB accessory: We installed something even sillier. Lian Li provided us with its new Strimer RGB 24-Pin Cable, an auxiliary main-PSU power cable with colored lighting built in. It comes in two layers—the white cable itself, which carries the power, and a translucent layer of fiber-optic lighting that clips on to the top of the cable. (This latter layer is also connected to the cable by a small wire for power.) One end of the 24-pin cable gets plugged into the PSU's motherboard female power-cable socket on one end, and into the PSU's 24-pin male cable connector on the other.
One of the biggest advantages the PC has over consoles is that there are a lot more games available for the PC than there are for consoles, particularly when it comes to multiplayer online games. Not only are the vast majority of MMOGs designed for the PC, but PC gamers have the option to play MUDs, email games, browser games, and a wide variety of titles that are distributed digitally or available as free downloads.
so uhh.. ya pc is cheaper, no subscription bull shit. Oh and half my pc was free, got an old dell optiplex 7010 for FREE, then bought an Rx 580 for 189... boom. A INSTANT console killer since i could still do vr unlike psvr's horrible way of vr. AND you console prick, with how consoles work these day... Consoles, just don't work, recently Microsoft added an update that made ALL Xbox connected to the internet unusable because of a BUG. Guess what, I typed this on a, you guessed it and keyboard not a controller because if i was, It wouldn't even be done... ANNND have you ever seen the worlds faster typer on controler? though so. PC MASTER RACE All the way... Period.
Another headset recommendation here, the Sennheiser GAME ONE is presented to us next as an open-back light weighted design that is not only built for enhanced comfort but also provides a crystal-clear sound. Featuring a suitable volume control conveniently located near the headsets ear cups as well as plush velour covered XXL ear pads, these combine to make this one another addition to the best gear for gaming list for those with a bit of larger budgets than our previous headset pick.

Partially for our own entertainment, we used the Alpha 550W case's remote control to change the fan lights from automatic to a variety of static colors, trying to sync them as well as we could with the Deepcool cooler (controllable through a physical button, which we accidentally left trapped behind the glass, at first) and the Strimer (controlled through the board mounted in the rear panel). Without any software input, the lights don't exactly match, but they complement each other well enough.
With a living room gaming PC functioning as a Steam Machine, however, you get the same benefits of customization as you would with any conventional PC (meaning you can make it as powerful as you want or can afford), while also retaining the several benefits that consoles do have (including intuitive TV/controller interfaces, minimal menu navigation to access games on startup, and—in the case of using SteamOS—a reasonable expectation of straightforward compatibility for any games that can be accessed on the platform).

Not everyone prefers to game on a computer. Console gaming has become quite popular and has advanced drastically since the popular Atari was first introduced. Today, you have the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One S which are not too far in performance from gaming PCs. The PS4 Pro is slightly more powerful as a console than the Xbox One S. Microsoft will release Project Scorpio later in the year which will rival the PS4 Pro. However, both have the capability of producing 4K content, PS4 Pro is far better at it than the Xbox One S. If you aren’t too concerned about the graphic, then the games are what should appeal to you. Both systems have numerous games that are exclusive to the system. So if you are a fan of particular games that is only available on the PS4 Pro or the Xbox One S then you can pick your system accordingly. Xbox One S is cheaper than the PS4 Pro but remember it is also not as powerful.

It’s not unusual to see pre-orders for big games go for 10 or even 20 percent off on Steam, and by six months post-release many big games will fall to $15 or $20 during a sale. Or lower. Great indie games often go for under $10 or even $5 on sale if you’re patient. Consoles? Even on sale, most many AAA games seem to bottom out around $30 for years on end.

All these companies are assembling the same types of PC from similar parts, and they often build them to order, so you can vary the specifications to suit your own preferences. It would take a long time to research all the options and compare possible builds on PC Partpicker, which is what a real PC gamer would do. The best motherboards really do cost more.

Specifically designed to meet the needs of gamers, the Chroma V2 comes with 5 additional dedicated macro keys for easy-access as well as an advanced Chroma configurator adding for special effects as it lights up at the press of your keys — you can choose the RGB patterns or individual keys to light up (this may come in handy if you program it alongside your hot keys for a particular game). All in all, if you are looking for a state of the art mechanical keyboard (we do not recommend anything that isn’t mechanical, especially gaming) that provides all of the necessary functions, as well as contains a refreshingly cool look, the Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2 just might be for you.
